Special Projects

A believer in furthering her education, Cheryl earned a degree in liberal arts in 2005 from Fresno City College, a Victim Services Certificate from California State University in 2003 (serving as a volunteer for the Fresno County Probation Department in the Elder Abuse department), and completed classes in recreation administration. Cheryl has owned her own event planning and decorating company for over 13 years. She volunteered as an event planner for the Clovis Chamber of Commerce “Dinner Club” series and continues to act as the outside event planner for the Clovis Business Trade Show. In November 2006, Cheryl worked closely with the Mayor's office, the Fresno City Parks and Recreation Department, and Cocola Broadcasting to ensure a successful grand opening and dedication of the Al Radka Park in Clovis. Cheryl currently serves as Cocola Broadcasting's event coordinator, the project coordinator for the high school football show produced by Cocola Broadcasting, and has recently broadened her position with the Company to include public relations and sales.
