Although Edith was born in Los Angeles, CA, she was raised in a small town in Jalisco, Mexico- Mezcala de La Asuncion. At age fifteen she decided to move to the United States to pursue the American Dream, leaving her parents and five younger siblings behind.
As a young teen living alone a foreign country, she faced many struggles, only to make her the strong woman she is today and build her never give up attitude.
Edith comes to us from a background in radio. She worked for Casa Media Partners for over 3 years. First, as an Account Executive for the Visalia-Tulare-Hanford and Bakersfield Markets. A few months later, she was promoted to General Manager for La Maquina 103.1FM in the Fresno Market. Later she became the companies’ Regional Account Manager for all their stations in Riverside, CA, Tulare, CA, Fresno, CA, and Yakima, WA.
Edith has been in sales her whole life, from selling avocados on the streets in her hometown in Mexico, to selling electronics, cellphones, radio and now television. She loves being in the media business, because it gives her the opportunity to help others help themselves. She is passionate about her career and will continue to further herself in the Media Industry.
Away from Cocola Broadcasting, Edith is a full time Communication student at Fresno State, serves in the Fresno State HBSA Board, as Corporate Relations, and she is also an Ambassador for the Central California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. When she’s not working or at school, Edith enjoys traveling, running, meditating, networking, and spending time with family and friends.
Edith is proud to represent the Latina Women in Business and will always encourage others to do so.
